Thunderbolt 2, have not tried TB 3 or 4 Although Sonnet Shows HDX.
They were offering a dip-switch for HDX TB2 speed.
Hard to keep up.

I contacted Sweetwater and they said no go on the Sonnet Echo. Do you have experience with that combination working??

I’m actually in the same boat looking for a 2 slot chassis for my HD Native and UAD cards. There were a ton of thunderbolt 2 chassis that worked for both cards but it looks like there’s an issue with thunderbolt 3?

Does anyone know if I can just use one of the older TB2 chassis with a TB3 adapter? Thanks.

There is an incompatibility issue between HDX and the Sonnet Echo Express III thunderbolt 3 version. Sonnet's new thunderbolt PCIe enclosures include a special 'HDX mode' which gets around it.

The issue is specific to the PCIe backplane in the TB3 enclosure. A TB2 Echo Express III enclosure works fine. It also keeps working fine if you upgrade the TB2 card in it to TB3.
