As far as comparing the Kemper to the Elevenrack......I think the Elevenrack holds it own. Im a huge 11r fanboy and have use it for almost 2 years. But there is an excitement with the Kemper. I get a new "expansion pack" everyday with all of the profiles that are rolling in. I own a recording studio, so to have extra "rigs" is a bonus for me. One of the things I love about the Kemper is it is as easy to use as the 11r. To me, even easier to dial in rigs the way you want them. I will never bash the 11r, it is a quality piece of gear. I simply do not "need" it anymore.

Edit: I dont know if my post is proper here as far as mentioning I am selling my 11r. If it is not, please have a moderator inform me and I will remove post. I journey through alot of forums so I dont know what is acceptable here.

Remember when PT9 came out, it was billed as a 'new product' so free upgrade were not given out if you had purchased a bundle with LE8 even a week before.

So if you upgraded from 8LE to 9 or 10, you should be fine.

Several people have done it.

Avid has always said you are not supposed to sell an interface without software or vice versa, how ever we know this happens all the time. So can you and is it technically allowed are two different questions.

From my reading, yes you can sell your 11R with PT8 LE and still be abiding by the Avid TOS because PT9-10 were marketed as NEW PRODUCT Lines, not upgrades.

And in all reality I don't see Avid trying to sue people who sell an interface or software only. I think it would be pretty tough to prove damages, and it gets into issues of when you buy something, can you sell it as YOU see fit. I would say yes, as long as you are not making copies and selling those, as far as I can tell you are within your rights. I am not a lawyer, so everything I say is simply my understanding of available data and information.

So to sum up, yes.

Used 11R's depending on the software version included, condition, and if it has the ERXP, are selling for $400 - $550.
Keep in mind you can buy a new Eleven Rack with PT10 and the ERXP for $699 - $750 all day, so if you are looking for a fast sell, price accordingly.

Ive heard reports of people having latency issues, but I have none. The Kemper feels excellent. Its a fun little gadget and sounds beautiful and raw all at the same time. There are some profiles that arent as good as others, but for the most par t, the people who are doing the profiling are doing an excellent job.

Thanks for the detailed response and thanks for the heads up on TH 2. Killer deal! I guess I shouldnt have said upgrade to PT 9. What I meant was crossgrade.....then I crossgraded to PT 10 2 months later. I just dont want any issues for the potential buyer. I want him to be able to use it as he needs to which may or may not include PT 8. Yea I have it listed at starting price of 400.00 buy it now 500.00. I wasnt expecting to recover my investment, just hoping to get a little back. Thanks again brother, you always have the most detailed responses!

Yes the buyer will be able to use the 11R with LE8 no problem. Make sure you do a transfer of ownership as well. And be sure to include the DVD and authorization codes for Pro Tools 8. Im not sure if Avid will transfer the PT download and codes from your Avid account to another account. I thought they did in the past, but the last time i sold a LE8 + Hardware bundle and did the transfer of ownership, they never removed LE8 from my account.
