S1 Modifier Keys Held Down

Modifier keys (track colour buttons) on my S1 are acting very strangely. If I push Opt then the Option key is latched down in Pro Tools, meaning every fader touch results in the fader snapping to 0dB. The only way to get out of it is to power cycle the S1 and restart Pro Tools. The PT UI is also affected, meaning that any mouse clicks in Pro Tools behave as though the Option key is held down.

I'm really scratching my head here. Going to try reverting to PT 2022.9.

Ahh.. I saw this happen too but with Shift. Everything was as if Shift was being held down (keyboard shift) even though it wasn't on or latched on the S1. We finally traced it down to the S1/Eucon. And this happened with 2022.9 and 2022.10

I think it might be macOS related. You haven't specified your computer. Ours was happening with an M1/Apple Silicon computer and macOS 12.6.1

(our solution was to put other softkey assignments where the four modifier buttons were on the S1 softkeys to prevent it from happening again. Like we assigned layouts to them.)

System is an intel hack which doesn't help narrow things down, though I've had no issues with Eucon previously. I'm about to try downgrading to Eucon 2022.4 and see how that goes.

Same thing with Eucon 2022.4 and PT 2022.7. This never used to be an issue. I wonder if it's OS related but I know I've used the S1 on mixes since updating from macOS 10.14.6 to 12.5.1. Hope it's not a hardware issue. Not sure how to rule that out. I suppose I could try the S1 connected to a different workstation.

Working as expected. So it looks like an OS-specific problem.

This is a known bug fixed in the upcoming release 22.12

Is it safe to assume 22.12 will become 23.01? I was hoping to use the S1 on a mix project this week.

It will stay 2022.12 but we are now aiming for 12th Jan. We have a tester out sick and I'm of on holidays visiting my family now so it was safer to postpone. Sorry.
