I had some similar issues with 2022.9 and I think it may have had something to do with a message window in Pro Tools that had popped open, or was suppose to have opened but hidden behind the mix or edit windows. It was like it was waiting for me to close the window, but it wasn't there. Sorry, I wish I could remember what was triggering the message - it did actually happen a couple of times where I couldn't access the menus, but once I minimized the mix/edit windows I could see and close the message and continue working. It was just odd that sometimes it did the same thing but I couldn't locate the message window and couldn't do anything other than a Force Quit.

FYI I had this once only on the first session I opened after installing 2022.10. After a while I forced quit Ptools, restarted mac and the menu bar was there again ....as I'm on Catalina, maybe it's not specifically a Mojave thing.

Have to admit I haven't bothered as it's such a ball ache having to reset them all back and esp as I lose all my 'favourites' on the plug-in list. I'll give it a go when I get a sec. (Not keen on 3rd party software doing it for me either.)

Ah man I've just remembered another reason why I hate deleting preferences. Tools always gets about halfway when re-scanning plugs and then quits and I have to do this little dance where I move the ones that have yet to be scanned from the plug-ins folder to the "plug-ins (unused)" folder and put them back a few at a time until they're all back again (usually around about the iZotope spot but varies). Does this on both my computers. Takes at least half an hour to get things back up and running again.

Oh god and then it defaults back to dark (aka "ugly as sin") mode. I mean how horrible is this?

Yes, I know I can config it, but I'd rather someone had just done a half decent job of designing the user interface in the first place. Some of us have better things to do (like coming on here and complaining 'arf 'arf).

Back on topic : I can confirm that, yes, I've tried deleting preferences, and this problem still persists.
