Memory leak with EuControl on Win7 x64
Hi All,
After another post in the Steinberg forums mentioned the possibility of this - I had a look in task manager after working for a few hours today. Sure enough EuControl was using 1.07GB of memory after just 3 hours. When I reboot - it starts off using about 30mb (which seems more like it!) - but then it creeps up. I didn't really get into trouble as I have 12gb and its running in 64bit address space - but if this issue exists on a 32bit system or I leave mine open a couple of days then there will be issues! And any GB of memory that is wasted cant be used for important stuff like loading more instruments if you are into that way of working.... Any DTS crew seen or know of this?? Cheers Sam |

Let me look into this. I don't have any other reports that I recall.
Which DAW and version are you using? Which version of EuCon? Can you give us your system specs? |

Re: Memory leak with EuControl on Win7 x64
I have tested this this on Cubase 6 as well as Pro Tools 9 on PC
Eucon 2.5.7. The problem is the same for both. Watching the EuControl.exe in windows task manager, whilst the transport is playing, the Memory value is "counting up" at the same rate about 40-50 bytes/sec. when you hit stop on the transport or you are not using the MC Transport or MC Control, just sitting there idle , the "counting up" stops See my system specs below.

Re: Memory leak with EuControl on Win7 x64
Any news here?
The memory usage accumulates as long as the transport is running, in both Nuendo5 and PT9. If just the session is open and not playing it seems to stay normal... |

Thanks for the reports - it appears there's something to this and we're investigating the source of the problem.
