Does LE and Maudio LE use the same driver

Anyonw know if Maudio ProTools uses the DAE Driver?

All ProTools versions use DAE. PTLE has drivers that support Mboxes and 002s, MPowered has drivers that support M-Audio hardware. MPowered software is licenced through the iLok (same as HD) while LE is still using a registration code for licensing.

Is there something in particular you want to know? If you're wondering if M-Audio hardware will work with PTLE, it won't.

And all Digi need to do to make 001 still in the game is to let the DAE support 001 HW.
And PT >> 6.4 would be reality.

You can't have LE and M-Powered installed on the same system as far as I know - I imagine the DAE would get pretty mussed up. Might be a good question to ask digi directly though if you really need a solid answer.

i believe the answer is no.
You must have separate partitions for an M-powerd install and a LE install.
(for example.. if you try to install the M-powered demo on your LE partition, the
software installer app is smart enough to recognize there is an existing PTLE DAE there
and will not install)

But you can have both devices plugged in when active in one or the other partition without
a problem.

If you wanted to run both apps at the same time, you would need to have two computers and
likely link the M-powered mix over the 002 via SPDIF or other.. (also a KVM switch to
switch your control between the two computers) Ive heard it being done this way, ive not
done it myself.
