No offense taken. I'm 36 and I'm the old guy in my class. I still disagree with some of your points, but I think this thread has been hijacked enough.

I'll hook up with MarkDann,

Since a few months I've upgraded my 003R/MP toolkit2 setup to a HD 2, with an 192 and a Aurora16 and I couldn't be happier. My workflow really simplified and the system is stable as a rock. Running most of my plugs rtas on an 2008 8-core macpro. The other thing that really makes me happy is the bigger i/o count. Since I mix hybrid (bussing out to a mixer) it really improved my sound to, but that's more accountable to the Aurora.

I was really in doubt before I took the upgrade, but the system feels really responsive and rock solid. Mixing average sessions and some sound to picture.

Brilliant idea to be able to lock the session but still edit regions, of course it's no good because you can't add fades to the front of a region or when pulling forward from a region...... I thought this bug would certainly be fixed for cs2... but no!

I am running 3.cs2(Just Installed) and am having redraw issues when I import Window configurations from my template to an existing session.

The transport windows stays white, Marker window shows junk.

Just sayin!

I feel you brother! I'm in desperate need for Avid to release support for Windows 7! I no it's my fault but I bought a new laptop hoping I could use a work around to record audio on loaction to bring back to my studio for mix, etc but none of the fixes work for me. And us LE folks have invested quite a bit of moolay ourselves. If I could afford HD I would be there with you and siomeday will. Good luck.

Can Avid let us know when they plan to fix the front fade error on 8.0.3 after the session has had the time-line locked.
The time-line locking feature is brilliant but totally negated by this fault.
We all really expected cs2 to have the fix in it..... please please please can you mend it soon.
