Default Have anyone use the BlackMagic Decklink Mini Monitor

I was wondering if anyone have this for their Video monitor. Thinking about adding a 3rd monitor just for video, and being more cost efficient than saving up for the Mojo DX.

we tested one a few years ago and sync was awful as it is unreferenced. possibly even worse than desktop video.

So then the truth is everyone have to spend thousands to get reliable sync?

^This!

I seen this and I was like this should be good! I like the Mojo DX, but man I'll have to save up for it! I just want something that connects to my PCIe Bus for the best performance, while still viewing in 1080p

This is not that expensive if you buy it used:
1. Aja LHI - $500
2. Sync HD - $500
3. Aja GEN10 -$250

So, yes $1250 is the minimal price you must spend for reliable sync.

It could be even less if you only need an SDI output or convert it to HDMI by those chinese boxes...so a BM SDI could be yours for $200-$300

Right now I plan to buy an ESE DV319 sync gen. and a Blackmagic thunderbolt card which has ref in. The price seems reasonable, the only thing holding me back is the quality of the Blackmagic drivers seems a bit shabby. Although the last update reportedly corrected most of the problems.
