Default PT12 to Studio One, back to PT

After years of PT8-10-11-12 I jumped ship and went to S1. I thought s1 was going to be something other than it is....not going to start in on bashing, just not for me. The real deal breaker was when I purchased Notion6 their flagship notation software, with "integration to s1" as a new feature....its a ridiculous claim. You cant send any note data to notion without going thru a bunch of steps for each function. I never did get the 2 programs to sync, despite tech support. My needs are basic: 10 tracks max, displaying score as song plays back while adding instrument and vocal tracks, mastering

When I went back to PT12, it was a breath of fresh air, I dont complain much of the features i used to. Also upgrading audio interface to Clarett Pre8x worked perfectly and sounds better in every way along with low latencey. What I can see has changed: pricing

anyone else taken this journey?

I think I hear Steve Winwood switched to S1... if you're gonna stay all in-house I guess it's an option. But for working professionals that share PT sessions all day every day... it's not an option. Unless everyone switches, we're kinda stuck with PT... for better or worse.

I did for a moment but with no AAF OMF import export feature there is no sense in my using S1. Other than that for scoring, it was pretty stable but PT 12.6.1 is working better than ever for me these days!

I tried it as well. at the end of the day, I just prefer the way PT works(when it works).

I never took built-in notation seriously. It always looked nothing like how I'd write it or how any decent professional would expect to read it. I'm talking classical though. I suppose if you're doing pop or at least something that's quantized, it would look right. Right?

Love Notion here but Presonus needs to pick it up in the caretaking.
If Pro Tools could import export MusicHTML or sib in/out (why would anyone only need one direction?)

Yes, I've never "jumped ship" as such from Pro Tools but have always moved around other DAW's for various projects (currently working in Cubase in a collaborative project) and besides cubase usually have Studio One, Reaper and Sonar on my system at anyone time, and always (so far) when I go back to Pro Tools it feels like "home".
