It used to work in PT5, but I doubt it works in newer versions.

In user's manual for O2R they said that i should use MM16 or DC16 midi controller to use a 02R remote functions via midi. But they said it for PT 4. I can try it only tomorrow and i just hope that anyone had some experience with connecting it:)

The MM16 and DC16 are not options anymore, so I'm sure it's a no-go. As I wrote - it used to work, but is not an option in newer versions of ProTools - unfortunately.

Hi
In this link it is said
http://www3.digidesign.com/index.cfm...id=28424,23564
Pro Tools 6.0 and later no longer supports and will not install the Penny & Giles MM-16 and DC-16 Control Surface Personality Files

but I know I was able to use my O2 to control PT until 6.9

I am so sorry but I really do not remember well.

As I remember I have installed a legacy mixer driver.
I think it was the peavey pc1600. I was able to write volumes to protools but not able to control fader back on the O2. This was only possible with the old mm16 driver

Legacy drivers are found here
http://www3.digidesign.com/index.cfm...54&itemid=4796

It will work, but only in one direction!

Ale

Ok:)I've downloaded a midi controllers pack (JL Cooper CS-10, JL Cooper MCS 3000 series MCS-Panner, Peavy PC-1600) from Digidesign site. It's for PT 6.4.1. Can i use it for conecting or i can't connect it anyway? And if it will works - i can control PT faders by moving 02 faders, and can't control it in other way, yea?

As i said I really do not remember well.

I think it was the peavey controller that enabled me to control in one direction. Just try. It takes just a few seconds.
As I remember also the midichannel in the O2 must be the same.
(It was 1 or 16)

An ves you can only control and record the protools faders.
Protools does not send any data back to O2 to control the faders.

That is in deed broken and was only possible with the old drivers

As i said i can try only tomorrow - that's why i only askind now:)
Ok tomorrow i'll try with peavey and will see how it works.
U said that PT doesn't send any data to 02. But it start automix on 02r and when playback is going i can't move faders on board - motors holding it. That's why i've thinking about 2-way connect.

Im using an o2r96 v2 perfectly well with PT 7.3.1.
Is that not the mixer you have?

Functionality is not complete between the 2 devices, but faders (both ways) and plug in adjustments, pans etc etc all work and automate. Not surround panner unfortunately.

Does this help?
Peter
