Default Native Instruments B4 II and PT9HD/Snow Leopard

Does anyone know if B4 II works in PT9HD and Snow Leopard?

Appreciate all replies.

Thanks!

Mark

According to their website, it's not compatible with Snow Leopard. It was discontinued last summer.

Hi,

Its not supported anymore, but i had it installed and working when i first installed 9. i have since had to revert back to PT8 to work. But i am in the process of a 100% fresh install of SL and PT9.

To get B4 working you have to install an early version of the software!! I upgraded from Komplete 4 and B4 continued to work, but to install B4 on a new system would be a bit tricky, as the old installers don't work and you have to jump through hoops to get it installed.

I use it. The trick was to get the serial number from an older install (G5 for me).
Same for Spectral DDL and Vokator, Pro-53 (All running)
OS 10.6.5, Pt's HD 8.1cs2
PT9 when time permits but for 8.1 SL it's good for now.
MP-12core 12 GB 3 vid-monitor.

Is there any way to acquire B4 now?

Hey Chris, I'm seeing this for sale on ebay etc. and a partner of mine still has the 'old' disc. My new system seems to be behaving so trying to avoid problems if I can. When you say the installers don't work, what kind of hoop jumping are we talking? :)

Thanks man. But just to clarify, this is not on PT9 right? So the installer did work for you?

There was (is) a leopard patch for install that worked. Then I manually added my serial in service center and it authorized. I have not gone to 9 yet.

To Steve@Zoowest,

It's possible you may be able to still find a new copy at some dealer somewhere, or on Ebay, or buy it used from someone (NI does allow license transfers).

However, they've recently come out with a new Kontakt player pack called Vintage Organs. It seems to be very in depth samples and sounds pretty good to me.

You can buy it separately, but it's also included in Komplete 7.

You can check it out here:

I have the old B-4-1 physical/midi control box, and I hope that when I am done with all my PT9 upgrading that perhaps I can get that to work with - say - the Vintage Organs that will be going on my system with the Komplete7.

Any bets on if it will ever work??
