I/o setup page super slow
Hey guys I wanted to know if anyone else has or is having an issue with the I/o set up page ? It takes a minute to load from tab to tab and even naming ins/ and outs . The only tab that does not have trouble is the bus tab . Any help In possibly fixing this issue would be much appreciated. Thank you
My set up MacBook Pro 15inch Processor : 2.8 ghz quad core i7 Memory: 16gbs Os version : macOS Big Sur Pro tools version : pro tools studio (subscription)

Re: I/o setup page super slow
No info on interfaces or how much IO you have setup... kinda important.
With large IO setups (hundreds of paths) moving tabs can sometimes get a little slow, maybe a few seconds on my 2019 MBP i9 on any macOS release in the last handful of years. I'm not aware of any performance bug that will cause this. Besides the obvious that maybe something is corrupted on your system. If you want to troubleshoot... Try with no session open. Is that now much faster? Does that happen with all sessions or just one/some? I'd do the rest with no session open regardless: Try trashing prefs (because always...) does that fix performance? If not... Export your current IO setups to a PIO file if you want to try keeping them. Try defaulting all the IO does that fix it? If so then customize from that and check that performance is still good. If that works better export that to a PIO file to use for other sessions. MBP 15" tells us next to nothing about what MBP you have. You got Eucon or similar stuff hanging off the system? |

Re: I/o setup page super slow
My apologies , I'm running an apollo twin x that is connected via adat to a persons quantum 4848. The reason for the 4848 is because I'm running an old school tascam M2600 mk11 console . Im also running a Focusrite i82gen that is going through a Rupert Neve Orbit 5057 summing box which is coming in line 1-2 into the Apollo . So yea it makes sense on why it might be taking so long. I did try to run the I/O page without a session being open and still have the same issue. Its not really a big deal until it comes to adding new hardware and naming tracks . As Far as the Eucon Im not using it . Thanks for the help
