Pro Tools Monitoring Help
Hey guys,
I am probably just really ignorant.....but I could use your help anyway. I am currently working on an 10 song recording project in Pro Tools 8.0.5 with an Eleven Rack. One of my files behaves differently with my Eleven Rack than the others. Let me explain.... In every other Pro Tools session, my Eleven Rack is muted until I record enable a track with the proper input. In the session that is different, I can hear my Eleven Rack regardless of whether or not a track is record enabled. If I record enable a track, it only makes things louder (adds to the sound I am already hearing). If I toggle "Low Latency Monitoring" off and on, it mutes the signal I am hearing. Any ideas?

Re: Pro Tools Monitoring Help
Do you have an open Aux channel that is set to Eleven Rack Rig for the Input by chance?

Re: Pro Tools Monitoring Help
You also might have accidently hidden a track and not muted it ....
Here's a video how you hide tracks, get them back, etc: video. I've done this once in the beginning .... You cannot believe how long it took me to figure out that I had hidden a track hahaha

Re: Pro Tools Monitoring Help
Thanks for your help, guys.
I got it figured out. I had two instrument channels that had the Eleven Rack set up as it's input. Kind of weird (not sure how that happened and didn't think to look there), but also kind of cool. I actually like having a monitor channel set up regardless of whether or not I have a channel Record enabled or not. Going to set up sessions this way from now on.
