Looks like quickpunch is creating a silence gap in audio while pressing it . If i press it a few times fast the screen playback flow lags and the audio truns stutter while doing it .

Yeah it's a known issue. I'm hoping for a fix soon myself.

i've also heard from a few users that this bug, and variations on it, are known and being fixed in a coming update.

for me, i hear little crackles at punch in/out but it doesn't show up in recorded audio.

i can't help but thing it's related to the auto input monitoring bug i'm experiencing, but that's not for this thread.

+1. This is really annoying. It takes the artist right out of the moment when they hear that crunch noise right before they sing / play. Please fix this soon. Pretty Please.

As for me, I warn the artist about and assure them its not a big issue(this helps the "comfort" factor). As for the recordings, I find about half the punches actually sound fine on playback, and those that don't are an easy/quick edit with the trim tool. The most important thing you can do for the talent is to make it appear that its not a problem(but heck yes, I want a fix for it ASAP) As a workaround, you can duplicate the playlist and start recording at a wide open space.
