Default Loss of Control

Anyone seen this yet?

10.6.6 PT HD 8.1 and 8.0.5

Recording or playing back in new or pre existing sessions and upon hitting STOP an assertion error occurs. After clicking OK the transport continues to roll. You can not Command . or stop using the keyboard or software transport controls. Zoom functions and mouse till work but no transport control works. Only option is to force quit or close the session and restart.

Creating a new user account seems to make the problem go away but Im looking for an explanation or solution. This is happening on two different machines... thinking about a clean install of the OS and reinstalling EVERYTHING.

Hi,

Happening on 2 machines is strange! As i suspect its most likely caused by an out of date plugin or possibly a connected hard drive with issues? have you got any firewire or USB drives connected? maybe try un-mounting them and see if it still happens. but an out of date or incompatible plugin is the most likely cause. so go through your plugin and check them all. they don't have to be in the session? just in the plugins folder to cause issues.
