file saving/recovery wtf?
If I have a song that I've been working on all day, mixing, remixing, chopping up, saving, changing & saving again and then I decide to put the session on cd to save it, how do I differentiate between which files are which? I did 2 songs, one seems to have way more audio files saved than the other and won't fit by itself on a disk. Does it save a whole new batch of files every time I save the session instead of overwriting stuff I've changed? I'm a bit confused.

Re: file saving/recovery wtf?
If I'm getting your question right are you talking about your extra regions? It doesn't really have to do with saves but if you're not undoing your takes after mistakes when you go back and re-record all of your old takes (regions) are getting saved as well... you have to go under the "audio" section on the right hand side of the edit window (view it by clicking the double blue arrows at the bottom of the page) and select all unused regions and delete or remove them... (as long as you don't need these previous takes anymore). Then it will be a much smaller file to have to back up. I hope that helps

Re: file saving/recovery wtf?
When you delete unused regions make sure not to delete the original take. If you trim a file a new region is created in the audio list, but it plays from the original file. Thus if you delete the original which is no longer in use, then you will also lose the trimmed region. Read the manual...
