Peripherals isn't used for setting up MIDI controllers. Select your controller using the MIDI Input Selector pull-down menu in the track.

Hope that helps.

Okay, my chime in here...

Now, so far as nothing showing up on your peripherals list, I'm at a loss. I have no idea. And if you're on a PC I can't possibly offer any insight. So far as a Mac is concerned, first you need to make sure your device is recognized under your Utilities>Audio Midi Setup, and then, it needs to be literally powered on for Pro Tools to recognize it as an option.

I can expound if this is at all relevant to your set-up.

Also, I know the keyboard communicates somehow because I can setup a profile in MIDI studio, open a midi track, select an input... and see levels and get notes. The problem I'm having is when I open an instrument track, and try a plugin like Hybrid synth....I cant get any levels or notes. Its really very strange. the Keyboard also shows up in the midi device list, so why I can't I use the keyboard in an instrument track. So....I'm at a loss
Do you have 'use first selected instrument' in MIDI preferences in PT?

Chris.
I've been trying to get my Oxygen49 to function correctly with Pro Tools. I can't get the MIDI parameters to communicate correctly. I really need to get this working. I'm running Pro Tools 2023.12.12.1

I've been using Pro Tools for about 15 years.

Can anyone help?

Thanks!!!

Use it via MIDI ports not USB. Also this is probably not the correct thread for your problem.
