After it is recognized in Device Manager you will see it as one of the midi controller choices in Setup>Midi Devices in Protools without having to do anything in Midi Studio Setup if you are using the USB cable from the keyboard to the computer. I only have to use MSS for my other keyboard which is a Roland RD-700 and is ran through the Motu 128 interface using midi I/O cables.

My Axiom 49 is working fine.
Go into Device Manager
Right click it
Browse my computer for driver software
Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer
and see if anything shows up.

Mine is just "USB Audio Device" driver

The class compliant driver in Windows 10 is very finicky. I have noticed several times my Axiom Pro 61 not being in Device Manager or in the Protools Devices box after first booting up Windows. The quick and easy fix is to just unplug the usb cable from the back of the Axiom and plug it right back in. It causes Windows to then recognize it for me every time. It’s a pain in the rear sometimes but it always works.

Neil,
Hey what's up. Yes I have seen that thread.

I also tried steve's suggestion to no avail, I seem to have a lame duck issue here.

So I just installed this package on a WIN7 system and then searched the drivers in Explorer. I will try to manually install them and see what that gets me....The guy from Maudio said it was compatible...so who knows.

I still ordered the fast lane...and will be using that long term but If I could get some more things done before the holidays that would be nice.

Right click on the driver .exe, choose "Run as Administrator" at the bottom. Then click on the Compatibility tab, choose under Compatibility Mode "Run this program in compatibility mode for Windows 7." Click apply, and hopefully the driver will install.

If you got a Windows installer disc, you could also try having it search that for the driver.

Actually just had a thought make sure to disable driver signing when doing the install as that's got pretty aggressive with older drivers recently too.
