Why not? But you would be limited to 32 IO I guess

Good question, it's not easy to find that info. I'm not sure, you might be able to have more than 32 IO with HD license but I have a strong feeling that if you are not using Avid hardware you probably end up with just 32 IO. I hope I'm wrong.
