Default Rex files not recognized

G'day
The Workplace in my PT7 sees Rex files as 'Unknown' in the TYPE column and when I try to drag them to the Track List it doesn't happen. I tried importing them from File menu as 'Audio to Track' but PT says it can't read the files.
I'm using Mac OSX (10.4.7) and Pro Tools 7.0.

Thanks in advance,
Tony
