EUCON Custom Parameters for different plugins?

I was under the impression you could save custom knob locations for different different plugins. Was I wrong to think that each plugin could have it's own custom mapping of where you put parameters for that specific plugin? Do custom parameters actually stretch over every plugin instead? For instance, if I create "custom" parameters for CLA76, close it out, then open CLA2A and make "custom" parameters for this will this change parameters across the board and now change the parameters for the CLA76?

No. Every plugin is different. So you can have a plugin mapping for each.

But Waves might be stupid. They use their shell as the "plugin." And then the shell pulls up the specific module. I don't know if Pro Tools can differentiate through a "shell" like that.
