ProTools Intro. How do I play back at high speed?

I have ProTools Intro running on Windows and I want to learn to use it to edit audiobooks. (My main DAW is Reaper.)

In Reaper, I often listen to the audio at 1.5x/2x speed. I understand there is a shuttle-lock function to do similar in PTs but I cannot get it working. Does Intro have this capability?

I have the numeric pad selected as 'Transport' in PT preferences. I understand that pressing CTRL plus numeric keys 5 to 9 should play the audio back at various speeds.

On my set up CTRL+5 brings up the Memory Locations window. CTRL+6 plays the audio. CYTL+7..9 seemingly do nothing at all.

What am I doing wrong? How do I play the timeline back at high speeds?

It's Start key + num keys not Ctrl.

I can now play back at multiple speeds!

Start key on Windows = Control on Mac
Option key on Win = Alt key on Mac
Windows key on win = Command key on mac

Isn't Start the same as the Windows key? Did you mean CTRL on PC = Command on Mac?

I'm sorry if I'm just making confusion here!

I know this; on mac Command is THE main modifier key. You use it with Q to quit, O to open and so on. I thought that equalled the Windows key on win???

Yes command on a Mac is usually control in Windows. I don't think Start on windows has a Mac equivalent.

We recently discussed on a thread here, assigning a track output to more than one destination, I said I do it by holding CTRL before selecting a new destination, and the windows guy said he achieved it by holding Start...
