Default no output from 003 factory...hardware or firmware issue?

I've had my 003 factory for a while now (I believe it is still covered under warranty, however), using it with PT LE 7.4.2 on OSX 10.5.4 (Leopard). I was monitoring something the other day when the sound output simply cut out. Neither of the monitor outputs nor the two headphone outputs send any audio signals, however the peak meter lights do move when I play back session files. also I'm not getting any sound with the Digi Coreaudio driver either. I tried reinstalling Pro Tools and it didnt work. any ideas? think it could be an issue with the 003's firmware, or simply a hardware problem with the circuitry? Any help you could offer would be greatly appreciated...

Could be, but I would not rule out operator error just yet(no offense is intended. Many of us have missed little details from time to time). Assuming your I/O setup is correct, I would run a little test. Try recording each analog input(use a line signal or a transformer adapter for 5-8) and see if every input will pass a signal. If not, you might have the wiring problem that hit several of the early production units(it was just a connector that would get pulled off its pins because it had too much tension on it. Simple fix). Also, check to see if you hear anything in the phones when you solo a good audio track. If you still have nothing, then your next step would be a phone call to your dealer or DIGI for an RMA number(and you can tell them about all the troubleshooting you performed before calling them). I hope you get it sorted out.
