Default Vienna Symphonic with Pro Tools

Hello,

I'm wondering if anyone is using Vienna Symphonic Sample library and interface with Pro Tools. It seems this only comes as a VST, but is there a VST --> RTAS transaltor? I do all my MIDI work in Pro tools, which I know some people think is insane. But ANYWAY... I'd love to hear if someone out there is making this happen...

Thanks,

Joachim

Something of interest, last I heard VSL - VI was working on an RTAS version, check out their forum Link they might be still working on it.

Midi in PT is not so bad, eh?

The VST-RTAS adapter from FXpansion works very well.

One way to get VSL-instruments in Pro Tools is buying Kontakt2 from NI, where a "light-version" is included to a very fair price... (Just to give you an option) Still I don´t see your concern as a problem, since the FXpansion wrapper works very well.

I use East/West Quantum Leap Symphonic Orchestra(Platinum) as an RTAS. Have you thought about that one?? It works fine in Pro Tools and sounds great! And all the E/W stuff is on sale for 50% off right now(http://www.soundsonline.com/EWQLSALE-p-188.html)!! I picked up the Platinum bundle for $2695(36 DVD's to install, woohoo!!!). Vienna is more expensive, isn't it???

Hmmm... yes, much more expensive, but as we all know, you get what you pay for!
