Avid please help pthd11 & heat

Please advice

Heat does not show in PTHD11 , i have installed the Heat once again after installing PTHD , yet nothing happens , i am trying everything but still no Heat ......

BTW - in MY Products Section ,there is no Heat Updater , and i can't fond one anywhere , in My AAX Plugin Folder there is a HEAT.AAX but it does not Load when i open Protools

did you enable Heat? There's a preference somewhere in a drop down menu

i cant enable it cause it seems it is not installed

does an AAX2 Version of HEAT exist ????

Instructions to enable HEAT are in the Pro Tools Reference Guide for Pro Tools 11:
Chapter 42: HEAT

On the Mac, the Pro Tools 11 application includes/installs HEAT within the Pro Tools application:
/Applications/Pro Tools.app/Contents/PlugIns/System Plug-Ins/HEAT.aaxplugin

in My AAX Plugin Folder there is a HEAT.AAX

If you have HEAT.aaxplugin in your AAX folder, that is more than likely the 32-bit version for Pro Tools HD 10, which you should probably remove. At least when you are using Pro Tools HD 11.

In any case, you would still need to have the HEAT license on your iLok to unlock it, as well as having the HDX card on the system. I don't own an HDX system or HEAT, so I don't know the exact license name, but I would imagine it has "heat" in the name.

well....of course i have an HDX card - and Of course i have an ilok with the HEAT Licence.....

i did everything according to the reference guide , and i also removed HEAT from My Plugins folder...but i still do not have HEAT in PT11HD

I was under the impression that there isn't a AAX 64 version of HEAT yet.

I don't have HEAT or HD so take this with a gain of salt. But isn't there a choice to show the HEAT controls in the mixer under the views menu EG MIx Window Shows>HEAT that needs to be enabled? Otherwise the controls remain hidden?

If This is the OPs first system with HEAT he may be looking in the inserts section.

Or I may completely out in left field.

i have the ilok license for Heat installed on a 1st generation Ilok , (which worked fine for PT10) might that be the reason for Heat Absence from My HD11 ?
does Heat for PT11 Require the license to be on ilok 2?????

i sure hope not....cause....well....i bought heat on Ebay

cause other then that i have no clue....cause everything is suppose to be in order

You can freely move the Heat license from your old Ilok to the new Ilok 2. There's no fee for that. You might want to try that and see if that's the issue.

I would transfer it to the new iLok 2. But I can't see any reason HEAT would require a iLok2.
