Echo boy screen freeze

Sometimes when i insert echo boy on a input all the meters movement and screen freezes for a few seconds and then continues as normal. What can be the cause of this? Is this a bad thing? thanks

Hi,

Sometimes or everytime? sounds like normal behaviur for a large plugin like echoboy just grabbing the DSP it needs and causing PT to stop for a short time.
