I have an iLok licence for Mezzo 4.7 and the Mezzo 4.7 software, on an OSX10.4 machine.
Over a year ago this all worked and I was able to extract some projects. Today when I run Mezzo I get a dialog window stating: "Required software extensions are missing", " Click OK to be transferred to the PACE website" When clicked it takes me to the iLok website with an error 404. I do have a file I saved called "interlokextensions.hqx" but I have tried plonking that file in lots of places but no joy. I know it's a huge ask, but can anybody offer any suggestions? While I'm here, may I just say a big thank you to Steve Kellogg, and his brother Jack, I think, the creators of Mezzo, a company called Grey Matter Response I do recall, you really did shaft us, I'm sure I will bump into you one day, and I will be able to thank you in person ![]() |

Hey, thank you for that link, I'd gotten the same error and was trying to track down the 4.7 installer. However, now I'm getting the error "An exception of class NilObjectException was not handled. The application must shut down." Have you run into that before?

Figured I'd keep an online log of the steps I'm taking to resurrect these tapes. If anyone needs the PACE installers or ATTO drivers or the configuration tool installer, or the Mezzo 4.7.4 installer, I have them and can email. I'm running into the issue that Mezzo boots up and the PCI card seems to be working, however Mezzo isn't listing the tape drive in the application itself. ATTO Configuration Tool shows a SCSI device present. Huge thanks to everyone that has helped me out on here, btw, and the guys at BMS Chace Nashville. If anyone has any info that could be helpful, I'd be truly grateful. As of now, the software I installed is a clean copy of OS X.4.11, Atto Configuration, Atto drivers and Mezzo 4.7.4

Neither recognizes tapes are loaded in Mezzo, nor does it list the tape drives. Under Device Status in Mezzo, only CD/DVD has anything listed, and it lists the Pioneer DVD-RW DVR-117D (B705) via ATAPI. Still no luck in getting Mezzo to see the tape drives. Minor developments:
1) When rebooting, the tape drive cycles. 2) Was on tech support with ATTO, everything looks to be in order as far as the ExpressPCI UL3D goes. 3) Had a friend install OS 10.3.9 on another partition and installed all the software needed (as far as I know), still no luck with Mezzo seeing the AIT drives. Does anyone still have a working Mezzo 4.7 system that's using a dual G5 tower with either OS 10.3.9 or later? I'm wondering if I could clone a working system drive to rule out any missing extension or firmware issue. Thanks everyone for your help! |

Hi Steve,
I have created my own Mezzo 2.x and 4.x restoration Software. As the software is not “production ready” yet, I’ve been offering Mezzo tape restoration as service. Also remote restoration service if you don’t want to send the tape(s). I’ve successfully restored number of mezzo tapes from Sweden, USA and Poland. If this is something you’d be interested, let me know. I’m happy to help. Best Regards Matt.Janda .Kingston At gmail.com
