CORRUPTION UP THE #@!$
Hi There, I am working on an album at the moment for a major label and I am getting some serious corruption within my PT sessions. It's one song in particular. I created a new session and imported session data onto a new drive (Avastor 500gb) and am working on a brand new intel G5 (2gb intel core duo). I believe the corruption is found within the FADES. Has anyone ever experienced this? I'll load up the session and it just crashes the computer. I deleted all of my fade files and imported the session. I am using OSX 10.4.9 and Pro Tools 7.2.1 with Mytek digital converters. I have been getting assertion errors as well. Here's what pops up.....could not complete your request because assertion in"/volumes/Alturaports/PT.4App/Macbuild../Tracks/UdiskTrack.cpp",line 3739" I've searched the answerbase inside and out to no result. I've trashed the DAE prefs as well as the volume files. Please help!

Re: CORRUPTION UP THE #@!$
Here's another error I've been gettting...........Crossfade "Fade cu!YWiS5qGdaaaGk" at 1:54.954 on playlist " WHISTLING 149!" is invalid because its left contributor is a fade.
Crossfade "Fade cu!YWiS5qGdaaaGk" at 1:54.954 on playlist "WHISTLING AMB.12" is invalid because its left contributor is a fade.

Re: CORRUPTION UP THE #@!$
protools 7.2.1 is no go on 10.4.9, right?
from compatability page... << Pro Tools HD 7.2/7.2.1, Pro Tools LE 7.1/7.1.1/7.1.2/7.1.3, and Pro Tools M-Powered 7.1/7.1.1 have all been officially qualified with Mac OS X 10.4.7 and 10.4.8 (Mac OS X 10.4.9 has only been tested with Pro Tools 7.3 and higher) May be the trouble. |

Re: CORRUPTION UP THE #@!$
Try this to delete prefs and database folders.
You could also try to save a copy of your session, but leave out the fade files. Let PT regenerate the fades instead.

Re: CORRUPTION UP THE #@!$
Be careful with deleting fades. It will not kill your session but your going to make a bit of work for yourself if you have a drum track thats beat detected.
What happens is when you recreate the fades it will make a lot more pops and spits everywhere in your drum track. You will have to manually pull fades throughout the entire song. If you do have to do this. Get your assistant to pull the fades for you. LOL. It will take a few hours. |

Thanks everyone. I haven't resolved the problem yet but this is some good advice.
