WHEN YOU DOWN THE BIT DEPH (24 TO 16 BIT) YOU LOSE 8 BIT. BUT FOR OPTIMIZE THIS PROCESS YOU CAN PUT A KIND OF PLUG INS ON MASTER TRACK LIKE L1 (WAVES).

Well the simple answer would be Yes there is... But you should still always start tracking and mixing at 24bit. Digital processing degrades the integrity of the signal by a few bits(or more in extreme cases). the difference between 24bit and 16 bit isn't as extreme as say the differences between a CD and cassette. But the difference is significant, its just a matter of careful listening...(a nice way to test it out for yourself is to record something at a set reference level both onto 16bit and 24bit, the difference is pretty noticable, especially level wise) I find that I can get much better "space" and level in the recording, and more sonic nuances with 24 bit than I do starting out at 16bit. my advice DON'T start out at 16bit. and Dither down to 16 bit from 24bit using apogee's UV22 dithering algorithm. it'll help you keep a lot of that sonic quality.
