Default Macbook Pro Dverb Count

What is everybody averaging for max Dverb count on their MacBook Pros. (Both 2.2ghz and 2.4ghz)

I'm looking at getting one soon.

Any results would be appreciated.

A very good question in deed! Mac users please also feel free to share DVerb test results on regular Macbooks with 2.0GHz or 2.2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processors and various amounts of RAM. I´m also considering to go mobile with MBox2.

I've done tested it before, did you search?

It went something like this:

iBook G4 1.3GHz 768MB RAM = 15 Dverbs (and stalling)

Mac Book Pro Intel Core2Duo 2.4GHz 2GB RAM = 100 Dverbs (and counting)

It's obscene! An 8-Core Mac Pro is pushing past 330 Dverbs, meaning the Mac Book Pro holds its own quite well.

My original 2.16 Core Duo MacBook Pro churns out 79 Dverbs as I recall. Which is on par with a Athlon64 X2 desktop at around 80+ Dverbs or a Core 2 Duo desktop at around 120-140 dverbs. The current crop of notebooks are VERY impressive.

I did just this this morning, having built one of the early Quadzillas also with an HD1 system onboard and getting in excess of 136 DVerbs in memory and then the ability to stack more with my HD so I was very curious what my new MBP would do.

Specs:
2.5 Core Duo MBP
4 Gb memory
exporting and using a Firewire drive - 76 to 82 depending
doing onboard recording w/o Firewire drive - 66 Dverbs

I find that when I'm writing using a Midi/USB Keyboard (Line 6 KB37 or Novation XStation25), there's issues with interrupts, so using the local drive is impractical for anything more than a few tracks realtime...that may change as I explore. I have a Firewire Ozonic, so I'll be interested to see how that fares.

My plugs are numerous as some know, I've got at least 9 USB keys and then my MBox2Micro, so there's a lot going on on the USB bus.
