Default Digi, RTAS Multiple Outputs When ?

So it has been almost a year now it seems that I read a blur somewhere, can't remember if it was on the DUC or a Digizine, about support for RTAS multiple outputs. Now with Stylus RMX getting released as well as the eLab VSTs this would be a welcome feature for me. ProTools has to be the only major DAW/sequencer that does not support this. Having to run 10 instances of Battery for a kit is ridiculous, same with Kontakt or Mach Five. Will this be a new feature in PT 6.7 ?

It is supposed to be in 6.7 so we should find out Thursday or Friday. I think the question at this point is whether NI and other companies knew about this enough in advance and have new versions ready, or if they already support it with current versions.

Are you sure about that ? That would be great. Looks like Spectrasonics is not aware of this according to their specs for Stylus RMX

Another popular request has been granted in Stylus RMX!

This one is simple to explain…and extremely useful:

Stylus RMX supports up to 8 stereo output pairs on the VST and Audio Units plug-ins. This allows for tremedous flexibility with using your favorite plug-ins and even hardware processing via external hardware outputs.

Output Control is not only available for each of the parts, but also for any slice or individual sample via the incredible new Edit Groups feature of SAGE.

(more on the Edit Groups system coming in a future Feature Preview…)

You can even use this capability to do 5.1 mixing of your grooves in your surround compatible host…..which is truly incredible sounding!

Multi Output support adds ultimate flexibility for serious pro mixing situations.

Even if a new rtas has mult outs in 6.7(which would be great), there will be the usual lag while plug in companies implement the new standard. And probably NI will be the last if past behavior holds...
