Default VI for effects/production sounds

Hi you lovely people, what VI do you guys recommend for sound effects, synth sounds to help enhance production of a song. Hope I've made sense

Depends on what you want. Have you tried Xpand2? It has lots of interesting patches

Yeah xpand2 is ok but didn't know if there was any different/better ones out there

I just got Hybrid 3 as an additional download with a new midi controller and it is quite good, it worth a try and it's not expensive I think.

Have you checked out NI Reaktor?

There are plenty of awesome synths out there. Anything from Native Instruments is great. Just get Komplete (regular or ultimate) and own it all.

FXpansion's Strobe 2 is really cool.
