Noob 003 Mic Pre/DI switch question
I have a mixer that has a multicore cable that connects all 8 outputs of a mixer to the 8 DI inputs on the 003 rack. I want to buy a Radial J48 DI to record guitars with. What I want to do is leave the multicore cable plugged in and connect the Radial DI to one of the mic pres, in other words one of the 003 inputs will have both the mic pre and the DI inputs connected.
Will I be able switch between the 003 mic pre and the di input via the switch on the front? I'm assuming that the 48v phantom power be safe as It should only go out of the mic pre?
