Default 8.0.3 - It must be Christmas!

Nice chunky PDF list of fixes and improvements, looks good.

No full installer yet though for those of us wanting clean SL install without a DVD.

Try this:
Copy the Digidesign folder with just the 8.0.1 app to your SL drive, then run the PT 8.0.3 updater.

If you have Snow Leopard, I saw a link for a full install that will be available in a week?

Quote:
Without Pro Tools 8 Installed
If you have purchased a new computer with Snow Leopard or have uninstalled your previous version of Pro Tools 8, please take the following steps:
1. Download the Pro Tools 8.0.3 Updater from this page.
2. Insert your previously purchased Pro Tools 8 disc into the DVD drive.
3. Launch the Pro Tools 8.0.3 Updater and follow the onscreen instructions.
Installation Note: Some users may encounter an error dialog while running the Pro Tools 8.0.3 Mac Web Updater with a Pro Tools DVD on a clean Mac OS system. This dialog states that the "PACESuppport.kext was installed improperly and cannot be used.” This dialog can be safely dismissed, and you should not encounter any problem after rebooting.

Please Note: If you previously purchased Pro Tools 8 via download and you do not have a Pro Tools 8 disc, please do not use this updater. A downloadable version of the full Pro Tools 8.0.3 web installer will be placed in the same account where your Pro Tools 8.0 installers are available:
Your Account
The full Pro Tools 8.0.3 web installers are expected to be available in your account in about a week.

Very wise move from Avid folks, because that full installer is like +4GB compared to 1.5GB updater. This way they can actually get the installers delivered once we begin hitting the download servers :)

One can wait for that full installer once the system is up and running...?
