Greetings,
Running Mac OS 11.5.1 on a 27" 2017 iMac i7. HDX isn't recognized since the Big Sur install without adding a line of Terminal code each time I restart, which is sudo kextload /Library/Extensions/DigiDal.kext per the Knowledge Base. Then functionality is restored. Will there be a patch soon that will remedy this? Thanks. |

Big Sur 11.6 addressed all of my kext issues, however, I do not run HDX, so cannot confirm for that.

Having the same issue running HD Native TB, PT v2021.7.0 on OS 11.6.
I found this in another thread, which gives the terminal line you are using, but goes on to include a procedure to use if you're having to do it every time you start up: https://avid.secure.force.com/pkb/ar...__2&popup=true I was having the same problem getting Desktop Video to load, so I could run video out of my BMD UltraStudio. Spent hours trying different solutions I'd seen online for that . Ironically, going through the steps in the article above fixed the BMD issue immediately, but did NOT fix the Pro Tools issue! I still have to type in the terminal code every time I restart.

Sounds like a permission problem. Repair permissions on your boot drive and try again.

Did a little researching and only thing relevant seemed to be too reseat the cables. Which I did...did not help. Nothing physical changed from Catalina to Big Sur...just software...so WTF is going on? |

I used your Terminal command and it worked great. sudo kextload /Library/Extensions/DigiDal.kext I used to have a command that automatically operated whenever I started up my Mac, but unfortunately I deleted it when cleaning up startup items. The link to the avid page no longer has this command. Any idea how to do this? I can't find it anywhere. Here is that link again. https://avid.secure.force.com/pkb/ar...__2&popup=true Steve |
