Default Opening projects on a new computer?

Hi people, long time member, first posting.
I just bought a new computer, PC, after my old one couldn't handle the size of my sessions. I thought I could just install and download everything and open my projects from the cloud easypeasy but nothing shows up in my dashboard. I moved the whole project cache folder over to the new computer to the appropriate spot and changed the setting in the "operations" tab but nothing. I see them all in Avid Link but I just can't open anything. When I try to import from the cache folder via "import session data" it just said something about it being the wrong version. Please help! I have a gig after a week

Zero system info = zero help. “New computer” means nothing if it isn’t qualified.

Pro Tools to the best of my knowledge has never been “qualified” with AMD processors. That doesn’t mean it won’t work, but you won’t get much support.
I’ll post this link again, because we still don’t know about your specific Pro Tools version, hard drive configuration, interface……see “Sandra Report” in this link.

You got an error something something about the wrong version something? How about what exactly the message said? Write it down or capture a screenshot, it's not exactly rocket science. And exactly what version of Pro Tools you have been running before and are running now? You think that might be relevant if the error message is about version issues?

But at the simplest level your problem is caused by you deciding to use buggy unreliable crappy Cloud projects instead of reliable local sessions. DUC is full of posts about problems with cloud projects. But not being able to open a Cloud project is unlikely to have much to do with the type of computer/specs you have. So this has been a waste of time so far.

DUC is full or people mostly newbie users having all sorts of problems with Cloud Collaboration, including I expect many users losing their work. And many hundreds of posts were deleted when Avid deleted the Pro Tools First forums. You should be using sessions, you should always have been using sessions, not cloud projects. If you've been a long term reader of DUC you should have seen many of those posts. You have any of the previous work backed up? Like to a session? Then copy that session over and get going.

Why would you manually move cache folders vs. just reload the session via the cloud? This stuff is fragile as crap already. Are you running Pro Tools First? If so get off that dead killed off for a reason buggy crap.

You need to contact Avid support they may be able to help you out recovering your cloud projects. Purchase an ASC if you don't have a current subscription/update program. https://www.avid.com/learn-and-suppo...-music-support. Avid support is also paid to put up with folks who can't bother noting error messages etc. And if there is not much content there then be willing to toss it away and start over using Pro Tools (standard) or Pro Tools Artist or Pro Tools Studio with local session files.

And if that sounds harsh, I am trying to get you from stopping self harm. Stop using cloud crap and get onto sessions like everybody else uses.
