Hard to say when you don't actually state what the problem is.

Are you following these instuctions?
http://www.sibeliustutorials.com/usi...ls-via-rewire/

Seeing you're on Big Sur, are you using a device with Apple Silicon? This could definitely be a deal breaker. Rewire is deprecated so when it breaks, sayonara.

Thanks James, my mini mac is i7 intel.
I have followed all protocols - trashing pref files, reinstalling sibelius and protools. It's a mystery. much appreciated.

thanks Chris, indeed, not a very complete description of my problem-
I don't get sibelius to show up as instrument in protools or ableton. previously, when protools was running i could use sib as rewire instrument (aux track, instrument) where everything functioned perfectly. After an update of sibelius (ultimate 2021 at this point) it no longer worked. I followed all protocol- trashing pref files, then with no luck, reinstalling sib and protools. any help would be much appreciated! cheers!

in other words, rewire is not working. Sib doesn't appear in protools or ableton as 'instrument' or 'track'

Default rewire problem

There was an old school requirement that a rewire instrument had to run stand-alone the very first time to write the rewire value. After that, it would then show up. Did you run Sibelius in standalone mode once before trying to open it as a rewire instrument?
