Re: Presonus killing it....
16 fader at a great price, even with modest features will get lots of people's attention. I suspect these product will do quite well in the home studio market.

Re: Presonus killing it....
BTW, I saw that its expected to retail at $599 and street for $499. X-Touch was a huge letdown. Let's hope this does better(and speaking of HUI limitations, I seem to hear mostly happy users of the Mackie controllers)

Re: Presonus killing it....
They do seem to have a vision and must have started to make a serious dent in that market by now.

This was my initial point, b/c it seems they are seriously committed to the game. Which makes the customers feel confident...they aren't just reducing the prices of existing products, nor are they releasing HD features to Vanilla users..... New R&D for new products

Re: Presonus killing it....
I'm a hardcore PT user since the 90's. My business is mixing and mastering. I recently got S1-- mainly to use for composing (for fun).
So far S1 has been inspiring, though a bit overwhelming. I do ove that it is highly customizable. My question is for those that switched from PT to S1 and have adapted well... I've been struggling with audio editing. I've assigned the key commands in S1 to map to Pro Tools. However the multi-tool does not function well. Also the slip/grid shortcut doesn't seem to work. Should I continue using the PT shortcuts? (I do love using the Zoom that I am so accustomed to). Any tips on getting up to speed with S1 audio editing? I feel like I've been demoted from a ninja to a white belt. :) Thanks for any suggestions and Merry Xmas and Happy Holidays!
