What are the steps to record 4 instruments at one time to Protool from a synthesizer keyboard.

Hi Monica, I don't see how that would be possible at all. Keyboards usually have a right and left out, lft for mono, and that just sends the signal of one instrument.

Could you be more specific?

Lots of Keybaords have multiple outs, mine has 6, the other has 4. So it is not uncommon. About the recording, i am new to pro tools. i would Create two stereo tracks, or four, what ever you need. Then select a different input for each track. depending on what you have connected to the PC. Arm the record buttons, on each tracky uo want to record, then press record and space bar. jobs a good en

What PT interface? How many outputs on keyboard?

Or use strictly MIDI, then get the mix right, and do a bounce to disk through an AUX track to 1 stereo pair.
