AVID Thunderbolt 3 enclosure with older thunderbolt 2?

Hi All.
Does anyone know if the AVID HDX card thunderbolt 3 enclosure works with thunderbolt 2 equipped mac computers via the adapter?

I would guess yes but that's ONLY because I have a TB3 to TB2 adapter to use with my TB1 HD Native, and it works perfectly.

I hope your guess is correct but I cant find any solid info on this. Someone out there must have at least tried this.

To update this thread for anyone looking I just picked up the Avid HDX and Thunderbolt rack mount chassis. I had an old 2014 mac mini sitting around and thought it would be perfect but was dismayed to learn it wasn't on the compatibility list. I ended up trying my Thunderbolt 3 to 2 adapter from apple in the reverse order I used it on my mac studio to hook up to my HD Native and it worked perfectly.

The 2014 and HDX have plenty of power but the onboard graphics just don't work well with my 32" 4k monitor. It only gives me 4k or 1080p if I don't want it in low resolution mode. Oh well, I'll use it until a cheap 2018 comes along.
