Default Little utility to delete session backups (Mac)

Hi there!

I made an Automator app which searches for session file backups on your Mac and moves them to trash.
Before the app does this you can choose which backups you want to move to trash and which you want to keep.
The application searches for ".bak." and ".ptx" in the filename so be sure you have NOT ".bak." in a regular session name
I tested it on my system and it worked. Since this is an Automator application you can easily edit it in Automator and tweak the settings to your own preferences (like searching only on the session hard drive for example).
If you're interested you can download it from here.

https://drive.google.com/file/d/19K5...ew?usp=sharing

Use it at your own risk, I´m not responsible if something wrong happens on your systems.

Not trying to be rude, but why would you delete your backups? Just to save hard drive space?

You don‘t delete unnecessary files on your HD, do you?

I can't count the amount of times the backup folder has saved me, I have it configured to store as many saves as possible in the shorter interval of time. I often clean up old audio files but not backups.

Yeah, i use backups too, that‘s not the point. If i wouldn’t want them, i would deactivate this function in the preferences.
It’s just a cleaning utility, nothing more.
I don’t say that it’s brilliant, i just found it useful and i don’t force anybody to use it.

5 gig really isn't all that much and if you have to do what your utility is doing because you need the space then you really should have a bigger drive to begin with.

well, again, it´s up to you if you use it or not and I don't care how you manage your sessions and hard drives. And I´m pretty sure you don't care how I manage mine. So there's really no need suggesting what I should do when there is no need for help. I don't delete backups every week/day/hour. At some point there's just no need for having some old session file backups (for me). And I like it getting a list of all the backup files where I select the ones i don't need. That's it. If this is no utility for you, fine. Maybe someone else finds it useful and I just thought that's something to share with the community.
