Default incompatible files

My band has recently recorded on a mac based version of Pro Tools in studio and we were unhappy with the final mastered product. Long story short we've taken our original files to PC but they aren't working. Is this a conversion issue? The mac files dont show up as any specific file type. Also we are using a free version of Pro Tools. Whats the prob? Do we need a real version of Pro Tools? Is there a way to convert files? Any suggestion/advice would be appreciated.

Default Re: incompatible files

on the mac, consolidate the files and export them as AIFF or WAV. Then take those files to the PC, and mix your stuff.
What's that?
- That's the machine that goes "pling".
