I hope all 4 of you filed an actual ticket, especially when it is so reproducible. Posting here lets users know and talk about it, but your actual support ticket with Avid could get this fixed by 2022.8. The more actual tickets are made, the more software developers can respond.

They literally don't spend time piecing together the (incomplete and random) complaint section on forums.

MAYBE it could happen. Just saying. Speaking as a software product tester in one of my day jobs. Actual reports matter. This forum is a place to report and share with users, NOT devs

That's sensible. Many (including me) sometimes address Avid directly via the DUC.

This is active on another thread. Apparently Avid has been aware of this for several weeks.

Threads merged and sitcky'd. Looking into why this is still occurring despite the 'fixed' claim in the release notes.

I posted a support ticket as well. In the mean time I down graded to 2022.5. I used the avid terminal Uninstaller took 20 mins max to do the whole thing. Issue resolved.

Side note I got a response from avid support desk and basically they wanted me to go thru a whole bunch of BS tests that would represent hours of my time snd I wrote back that maybe they should consider doing the tests themselves and I'd gladly send them my session. I think they blew me off. These 1st level tech support folks are basically kids who don't have any real life experience in our world so they shoot out some bogus stock answer it's actally really irritating when you consider we all pay for a supposedly high end support contract and they want us working post mixers to be their beta testers .. I just don't have time for that nonsense.
Anyways, everyone experiencing the issue aught to submit a ticket maybe someone over there will wake up and realize it's a real issue .

If I ever get down time I'll check out the clip grouping issue and see if that resolves the issue.

I'm glad to see this has been acknowledged by avid. The response I got to my submitted ticket wasn't anything like yours.

Can those of you experiencing this issue please check your installed version? The fix is in 22.7.0.105 (just posted info about that here). Please reply with your results after confirming you have this version installed. Thank you!

Hi

A quick test with Pro tools Ultimate 22.7.0.105

Pro Tools will no longer crash when importing clip groups

Import clips groups work as expected for me....

Tested on catalina and mojave
