Angry 10.2 not all voices allocated

Hi there,

I have big session running with no problem under PT HD3 10.0.1 (192I/O) on OSX 10.6.8
After updating to 10.2 and opening the same session Protools has encountered an error (#-7224) while allocating voices and not all tracks were voiced.

Can anyone give me the reason for that?
Does 10.2 handle the DSP in a different way...???

Thanks in advance...

Same issue, Win 7 Pro 64-bit on an HP xw8600. Never encountered this before updating to 10.2. Did a complete re-install, deleted all preference files, didn't fix it.

Did you check your playback engine and number of voices? It might have changed after a major software update.

This happened to me today with 10.2.

It was after importing a lot of tracks from another session. In my case it was caused by multiple RTAS instances of VE Pro trying to access the same instance in the VE Pro sever. Once I'd deleted the duplicates the error stopped.

Made in Austria!

@digibase
VE Pro is a virtual instrument host. It runs outside of Pro Tools and amongst other things allows you to bypass Pro Tools' 32 bit memory limitation.

@Mike-D
There must be another cause for your (#-7224) message.
