I was getting the exact same error message. I removed the plugins (temporarily) from the plug-ins folder and restarted Pt and it loaded up fine and i entered my activation code. So this error is plug-in related. I have latest PACE drivers so thats not it i guess....

Anyone have any ideas?

Which plugins do you have installed?

Could you use the Tech Support Utility to post the list including version numbers?

mcdsp, duy, urs are some plugins brand, just like API or Waves!

There are times when random numbers of marginal plugins cause issues in quad machines.

Reducing the amount of RTAS processors by one can sometimes help this.
