Default Crash report...

Heres the crashed thread part. anyone see anything suspect here so I can try and track down the issue.

I opened a previously working session and before the session even loaded got this crash.

Ive been doing EXTENsive trouble shooting and a part of that was re downloading all plug ins and re installing making sure the latest versions were in.

I had not oput back in the Slate RC Channel.

I opened said crashing session and it opened fine without the plug in. so I closed without saving.

added the plug in back into the DPM folder (since this plug in is not AAS yet)

trashed the DAE prefs

emptied trash (can't remember if I did it here or after restarting)

restarted

opened pro tools

hit open session
selected the same session that had previously opened with out RC channel

then crash.

Im thinking now this might be related to something I discovered in that after doing some prefs trashing (not sure if only when trashing DAE prefs but definitely when I select all in the PT PREFS utility) Pro Tools foirst opened with a RAM usage in the mid 2gigs or near there.

then I close pro tools and open again immediately and its back to normal ranges.

anyone else notice this?

I have reinstalled Pro Tools recently, and the drivers for Mbox 3Pro and all third party plug ins.

Repaired permissions, trashed prefs, (I in fact completely removed all prefs a couple days ago and have been resetting everything in an attempt to reach stability)

I'll continue trouble shooting myself just wondering of someone more experienced with reading crash logs sees something that might point me in a direction...

Question Re: Crash report...

Apple code is being executed at the moment this crash occurs.

If you open this same session with plug-ins inactive (hold shift while opening), does the session open without crashing? If you remove the Slate plug-in from the plug-ins folder, can you open the session without crashing?

If the answer to both of these is yes, then the Slate plug-in is causing the crash.

I think it is possible slate was the culprit, but I had not only installed the new AAX version but had deleted all preferences to trouble shoot and had to eventually restart the Slate drums and re authorize. myabe it was the non authorized plug in that was crashing the os.

either way I seem to be working again..

although my problems with the Air Instruments v2 are just again on hold as everytime I have some time to try and install and troubleshoot again, i can't seem to get them working reliably so I remove and get back to work..

Thanks.
