Default English Not So Good?

I'm sure we've all noticed posts where the poster says something like, "I apologize, my English not so good".

And very often the poster's English is quite a bit better than that of some of our "born in the USA" brethren.

And they generally speak English far better than most native English speakers would be able to speak their language.

And it seems that somehow, someway, the necessary information gets conveyed.

So while it's cool to mention that you are not a native English speaker, please don't feel a need to apologize for it.

After all, we're talking about music...and isn't that supposed to be the universal language?

I do not work for Avid (their loss)...my only relationship with Avid is that of a customer (when I'm not too poor to buy stuff, like now)...and that hot administrative assistant...that's more of a "thing" than a "relationship" (that should keep them guessing for a while...)

Just rockin'...what more is there?

Actually, the "my English not so good" came from a post I had just read, and which was the inspiration for my post...

It's still somewhat uncomfortable trying to express a more complicated matter in a foreign language. I more often than not find myself a little silly, when it comes to explaining a complex problem. And I do feel the need to apologize for how stupid my post then sounds (even though I mostly don't follow this urge).
So forgive us, asking for forgiveness.

i was born spanish.. only learned English when i was 12-13... it's always made me laugh actually.. you're right.. my English is usually a bit better than those born & raised here in Canada... it really comes down to what weight you put on how you speak.. i like to convey a clear & concise idea right off the bat.. the 1st time... often get flamed for being a bit over-critical of peoples grammar, or lack there-of

'english not so good' is always good for a laugh... your english is fine... it's your grammar that blows monkey chunks .. lol

There is a huge difference between an English-as-a-second-language post and an I-am-lazy-figure-it-out-yourself post on the internet.

Any effort by a non-native speaker is worth a look and some deciphering. The lazy text-speak? Well...
