Torq + Protools LE: Can Torq work without the turntable midi interface??

Im considering Torq LE as an option for working with protools. BUT I dont have any "turntable-like" MIDI interfaces (such as the torq xponent). I only have an AXIOM49 keyboard, which I presume, wont be very useful for torq.

My question is:

Does it work without the turntable MIDI interface? If so, please tell me how. I need to be sure before buying it.

And if you know that, then you know this:

Does torq work as a rewire slave with Pro Tools LE?

Torq LE doesn't require M-Audio hardware.

I think you can use it as a rewire ap but I'm not 100% certain.

By the way Torq LE comes free with Pro Tools 8
