Nero - pre emphasis??

Now, may be Norming with a severe high pass could produce those results... but once again, there are no such EQ options in my version of Nero.
As I said before, there is a Nero Wave editor with EQ, but it is an application separate from the Nero burning program.

Yes, I believe we are talking about a version of Nero that is different than the version you have.

..."pre emphasis" as such has been widely used in early digital systems. Results were questionable and the encode/decode scheme didn't exactly sounded uniform across all different systems.
I personally haven't seen any recent implementation of it.

I know that CD Architect and Waveburner still have the option to add pre-emphasis. I don't know about Masterlist, could very well still have it too.

It's never used anymore so I don't know why they put it in either, but it is still there sometimes!

Then either EQ was added in 5.5.10.54 or JMS can't find it in 5.5.9.14.
