Just Updated to 12.4. Is this normal?
Hi guys!
Today i updated my HDX rig to 12.4. All great so far i think there has been a improve in performance and cpu spikes. But i have just noticed what i show in the pic. I´m on a Mac Pro 4.1 on 10.8.5. This pic is made jus creating a session with no tracks on it. The memory is up to 80% with no tracks, my ram was all available. what is representing this memory? can anyone give some light on this? Thanks for your time |

Re: Just Updated to 12.4. Is this normal?
I could be wrong and I'm not at my machine but I always assumed that was how much memory Pro Tools had available to use from your system total.
If you go into the Playback Engine and adjust your memory size for Disc Cache I believe that memory percentage will go up and down according to how much memory you have allocated for disc cache.
